Doha, Qatar is the setting for one of the latest Battlefield 2042 maps
Qatar is all set to be a part of one of the most awaited video games of the year, Battlefield 2042.
Swedish video game developer EA says released the trailer for The much-anticipated “Battlefield 2042,” the sixth game in the first-person shooter “Battlefield” franchise Reveal Doha as one of the game’s maps.
The Battlefield video game series features multiplayer online battles that allow the game to face off in a battle-field.
“Battlefield 2042, the world is on the brink. Lack of food, energy and clean water has failed dozens of nations, leading to the largest refugee crisis in human history. In these non-patriots, or no-pats There are families, farmers, engineers – and even soldiers,” Ea explains.
“Amid this crisis, the United States and Russia are dragging the world into an all-out war. No-pat experts join both sides, fighting not for the flag, but for the future of the non-patriots in this new world. “
As the title suggests, the game is an example of a future where the humanitarian crisis exposes the corruption and inhumanity of rulers as well as the failure of nations. Gamers play as armed fighters fighting for a new world and a better future.
Doha is among the seven battle-field maps.
The Next Generation Battlefield trailer shows West Bay as a war-torn city burning with fires caused by bombings and air raids.
Due to the devastation in the trailer, the skyscrapers of Doha city are covered with dust.
FIFA 2022 stadiums attacked
The map also shows one of the stadiums dedicated to FIFA 2022. It also showcases Qatar’s iconic 5/6 arches that overlook a highway intersection near the West Bay area, shown through dust and sand storms on a trailer.
Design director Daniel Berlin said the map’s “rolling sand dunes allow high-speed vehicle-to-vehicle combat in vast open spaces.”
The game will be available on October 22 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC.
The new version will widen the map for Battlefield, including up to 128 players on the new generation of consoles and PC (Xbox One and PS4 players will take 64 players with the minimum map size).
The game will launch with seven maps, Kaleidoscope, set in Sogdo, South Korea; Manifest, set in Brani Island, Singapore; Orbital, established in Kourou, French Guiana; Abandoned, established in Alang, India; Renovation, set in the Eastern Desert, Egypt; Clock Tower, installed in Doha, Qatar; and Breakaway, set in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica.
